Treat deprivation
We’re trying … again, to cut back on Treats for the kitties.
I tend to over feed them treats and this time I’m serious!
June Bug: Please Mom, just a few more treats?
Joe: I’m just a little guy,
I need treats between meals or I’ll starve!
Leila: You want your mousepad back?
Hand over the treats Mom!
Toygrr: I can knock that mouse to the floor,
gimme some treats and I’ll leave it alone.
Cat Mom: Sigh … this is going to be harder than I thought!
I would be VERY thankful today
if anyone has any tips on how I can get through this
– other than a glass of wine, I tried that already.

Wish I had words of wisdom for this predicament!
We stopped giving the cats treats a long time ago; just stopped. We were never on a treat schedule, so they really didn’t miss them.
Looks like you’ll just have to outlast them; maybe leave the house for a time!

Ahahaha I wish I knew! Franklin is very persistent when anything regarding food (like when he can see the bottom of the bowl) or treats is involved.

That must be so hard… We give Jackie treats as long as she doesn’t become overweight (so far she isn’t). Did you try redirecting their attention towards other things like playing?

How about one of those pill minders, you put a certain number of treats per kitty, and once those are gone for the day, it’s done.

Those are all adorable kitties and sweet photos ~ I try to remember that treats are treats because they are not given often and that indulging them is not healthy for them ~ not easy, I know ~ ^_^
