Spay Day
We had Spay Day last week, little Aggie handled it like a champ!
Little Barbie however, howled the whole way to the clinic.
When we got there she started trying to tear her carrier apart.
Normally she is a sweet little thing who likes to talk a lot, but …
going to the clinic did NOT make this one happy!
Their surgeries went well and they are both healing nicely.
I am so thankful once surgery day is over and everyone is fine, whew!

I’m glad the spaying went well. Sweet little cuties don’t understand what is going on. Our Callie was already spayed when we adopted her.

We are glad that Barbie and Aggie got through the vet visit (and the operation) well! Mom laughed that barbie was so rambunctious (her name is Barbie). Purrs Marv

Since you asked, No-tomato paste/sauce or Nomato is a nightshade free sauce made from other veggies that can be used in place of tomato sauce for things like spaghetti. Nightshades are tomatoes, peppers (of any sort), eggplants, potatoes. Nightshades can be quite inflammatory to those who are allergic to them, like my son. And who knew how pervasive they are in our diet until you can’t eat them. I make a veggie paste using beets, onions, leeks, carrots, olive oil, basil, parsley and thyme that tastes remarkably like tomato paste and freeze it. It makes a pretty good alternative. I had to relearn how to cook all kinds of things like Italian and Mexican dishes. Good thing I retired and have more time to cook!

Oh my, we sure agree, a spay day that goes well and is all done is the best. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

Even though their reactions were different, we are thrilled that the results were a success!

That’s wonderpurr news that all went well. To be honest I may look sweet, but I’m a furOshush tiger when it comes to going to the vet. Or getting a mani-pedi. Don’t mess wif my paws, and don’t think I will go to the V.E.T. without a lot of drama and hissy fits. I was born to a feral momma and her DNA runs deep inside me. Love yoo, Dori
