Someone taught Sweetie to chase hands, especially when lying in bed.
Since she has only four teeth left, her bites don’t hurt, but I don’t like her going after my hands!
We are working on it.
We always tried to stop the finger techniques before they started. Too many kitties get returned to the shelter because they can’t be broken of chewing hands and families get tired of it when they grow big enough for it to hurt. It happened to our Danny, he was the sweetest and gentlest kitten we ever raised, and the adoptive family turned him into a hand chewing monster and then returned him. He ended up having to be a barn cat, they’d made him so bad.
