Easy Carrier Cover
Mazzi: Us kitties do not like going to the Vet.
We get all kinds of upset.
Marley: Mom used to throw an old towel over our carrier to help us feel safe.
But one day at the Spay & Neuter Clinic,
she met a Feral Caretaker that had made custom covers for her carriers.
Cat Mom: So, I ran out and bought some fleece in a pretty color.
Took a pair of scissors and made covers for all our carriers.
No sewing or special skills required
(thank goodness, since I am hopeless at sewing and have NO crafting skills)
I am thankful I met that creative woman,
and for all the good ideas I get from fellow cat lovers
who run into the same issues I do.
The Cat Loving community is wonderful!

Why yes, this makes so much sense!
Throwing a blanket over never seems to work very well; this idea is fantastic!

How do you get the shape without sewing ? Is it just draped over the carrier or tucked and safety-pinned at the corners ? The keeping warm is a good point about this too – or when we have to wait in the car and the sun is shining.

The fleece just drapes over the carrier all the way to the bottom, covering any points of vision so the kitty doesn’t get frightened by the car ride or any dogs in the waiting room of the Vets office.

Wow, what a great idea! The mom always put a towel over my carrier. But this idea is so much better. ~Ernie

I am thankful that you shared this! I have to take Jo Jo and Kozmo to the vet on Monday and as I have to take both by myself, I am taking them in carriers (both are leash trained. Jo Jo goes nuts! I bet a cover will work wonders! I have an old fleece blanket that will turn into a cover this weekend. THANK YOU!

What a great idea! It will also provide protection from drafts … especially helpful now that the colder months are here.
