Alistair and Ducky
We’ve missed our online friends, it has been a crazy busy month.
But we’re back and showing off what has kept us so busy.
Two, count it two litters of kittens – one foster litter
and one surprise abandoned Mom from the neighborhood litter.
Kittens are an absolute joy, but a lot of work.
For those of you who have not had a litter in your home,
heads-up; they are not born toilet trained and you can’t put diapers on them.
So … it is a lot of hunting down the latest kitten pee-pee and doo-doo.
You have to keep their area very clean,
otherwise, they end up with eye infections and all kinds of issues.
Socializing the kittens with peeps and other cats is important too.
All of it is absolutely worth the trouble, but it can make life hectic.
Glad to be back!

These guys are so loveable and cute. I do understand that they can be a lot of work. These guys are babies and must be trained to go to the toilet, and so many other things.

Agreed, it is very labor intensive, that’s why i had to give it up when i went back to work. Someday i hope to retire and be able to bottle raise again.
These are cuties!

You are a gift to the animal community. We have fostered slightly older kittens (I might implode with smaller ones), and the good times outweigh the stress mostly. Our current foster is a a very nervous 7 month old tortie we hope to bring round.
Thank you for looking after them.

What adorable babies!
We all came to Mummy as kittens, but slightly older (already weaned) and not all at once.

Well, we can see why you have been away! As a mum once myself, I’d have to agree that they would be full on delightful headache, but 100% worth it. Your two seem so cute, and I bet have stolen your hearts. Great work so far and plenty of the same to come 😉
